Payanigaru is a thriller movie that will keep you on the edge till the last minute… a story about 5 friends who are on a road journey to Goa….the different shades of people they witness during the journey…. the twists and turns…. any the dilemma and unavoidable situation they go through…which anyone of us could witness in our lives. It gives a message that life in unpredictable and we need to probably prioritize our life for right things and right aspects and relationships.
The story starts with 5 friends …Jeevan, Yadunanda, Nityananda, Purushotham and Jagadeesh on a road journey to Goa. Enroute the journey they start drinking and release the personal and professional frustration like managing 2 wives, business issues with real estate and fraudulent activities in that area. However, one of the friend Jagadeesh who is a man of principles and ethics is very strict in both in personal and professional life is quite reluctant in sharing his issues.
On the way they are stopped by the central character of the movie …an elderly person Ramappa. Ramappa is very interesting character and easily mingles with the group of friends and he is going to attend his brother’s daughter wedding.
These group of 5 friends and Ramappa extend their mini journey by staying overnight in a hotel and then later drop him to near his destination on the highway and give him some money. Ramappa is very thrilled at their kindness and wishes them good luck for their trip.
In Goa all the other 4 friends except Jagadeesh are enjoying, partying, drinking. Jeevan tries to convince him to enjoy life in totality along with responsibilities.
Next day Jeevan is found dead and as Goa is witnessing ambulance drivers strike, they decide to take him back…. lots of questions in their mind…. How did he die…. what is the reason behind his death…. how will they inform his wife….is there some foul play…?
Enroute to their surprise they meet the same old man Ramappa….who is this old man…. does he have any role in Jeevan’s death…or will he help these group of 4 friends….
