Ester Noronha (Ester Valerie Noronha) is an Indian actress and playback singer best known for her work in South Indian films. Her acting credits feature films in Telugu, Kannada, Konkani, Tamil, Hindi and Marathi film industries. Notable among her filmography are 1000 Abaddalu (2013), Bhimavaram Bullodu (2014), Jaya Janaki Nayaka (2017), Shakeela (2020) and Lanke (2021).
Other significant film credits include the Konkani movies Nachoiam Kumpasar (2015), Noshibacho Khel (2016) and the Karnataka State Award winning Konkani movie “Sophiya – a dream girl” (2017) which features her as a playback singer besides being an actress.

- Senior Grade in Bharatnatyam from the Karnataka Secondary Education Board (KSEB)
- Junior Grade in Carnatic Vocals from KSEB
- Has accomplished the prestigious ARANGETRUM or RANGAPRAVESHAM in both Bharatnatyam and Carnatic Vocals at the age of 14.
- Ester is trained in Kathak and Bollywood style dance forms by the legendary Bollywood choreographer late Saroj Khan who eventually introduced her to the world of Cinema.
Career :
Ester Noronha, who was a popular name in the Konkani music circuits from the early age of 8, debuted in Bollywood with the non-commercial film Baromas under her Guru Saroj Khan’s choreography. She was then noticed and cast by film director Teja in his Telugu movie 1000 Abaddalu in 2013, and Ester was immediately signed by the prestigious Suresh Productions for their Golden Jubilee project Bhimavaram Bullodu, opposite Hero Sunil. Ester debuted in Sandalwood (Kannada) with the movie Usirigintha Neene Hattira in 2014, produced by E. K. Entertainers.
While still pursuing her B.A in Political Science and Psychology at the University of Mumbai, she appeared in the title song of the Telugu movie Garam, alongside hero Aadi, and in the Tamil movie Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum (English: Fish Curry And The Clay Pot) starring Kalidas Jayaram in the lead. She also debuted in Konkani films with the historic blockbuster Noshibacho Khell as an actor and as a playback singer in Nachoiam Kumpasar.
Ester later starred in Boyapati Srinu’s multi-starrer Jaya Janaki Nayaka (Telugu), Nayanam (Telugu), Nuggekayi (Kannada), Director Mahesh Babu’s Athiratha (Kannada) and Sophiya – a dream girl (Konkani) which won the Karnataka State Award and also fetched Ester her first Best Actor – Female award in Konkani.
Discography
Ester sang in a Konkani movie Nachoiam Kumpasar (Let’s dance to the rhythm) for the song Meu Amor. At the 62nd National Film Awards, the film won two awards and a special mention. The film won the award for the best feature film in Konkani.
Ester also sang for the Konkani film Sophiya – A Dream Girl in which she acted too. The film was produced by her mother Janet Noronha under their home banner – Janet Noronha Productions.
Ester also writes, composes and sings her own independent songs. Her notable single is Despacito Konkani Cover song which was the first Konkani song to hit 1 Million views on YouTube and is now hitting 5 Million views making it an all time hit in the Konkani industry.
