Kairali Kalasamithi Literature Festival 2026 Celebrates Literary Excellence
Bengaluru: The Kairali Kalasamithi Literature Festival 2026 was held as a vibrant one‑day program at Kairali Nilayam School, bringing together eminent writers, poets, and young talents.
The prestigious Kairali Kalasamithi Literature Award for this year was conferred upon acclaimed writer Sarah Joseph. The judging committee comprised noted literary figures Subhash Chandran, Rafeeq Ahamed, and E.P. Rajagopal.
The festival began in the morning with Sarah Joseph’s inspiring inaugural address, in which she emphasized that “everything in nature has life, and writing is our way of listening to it.” Her words set the tone for a day dedicated to literature and creativity.
During the inaugural session, Master Austin Ajit was felicitated for his remarkable literary contributions. The honor was presented by Kairali President Sudhar Ramanthali and General Secretary Sudhesh, in the presence of distinguished guests and writers.
In the evening, the highlight of the festival was the formal presentation of the Kairali Kalasamithi Literature Award to Sarah Joseph. The award was handed over by eminent Kannada poet Dr. Hampa Nagarajaya, marking a memorable conclusion to the day’s celebrations.
The festival reaffirmed Kairali Kalasamithi’s commitment to nurturing literary culture and honoring voices that inspire generations.
